I am a PSN beta tester, eager to get my hands on this beta.
Will your be running a full open beta at some point? |

I think your maybe missing the point of a closed beta. Testing is always subject to non disclosure. The beta has been announced, we have had the opportunity to register interest, now we wait for further details and a possible invite |

For gods sake show a little bit of patients.
I have no idea how the new console MMO will generate a revenue for CCP but I know for sure they wouldn't want their competitors knowing about it before they had even got a release.
If you want information be patient, you are getting a genuine opportunity to get early access to the flagship console title which has potential to change console gaming for everyone.
I appreciate we all have questions about the impact on eve but since when did CCP start giving market traders and builders insider information on the types of ships and goods that will in demand when Dust hits the shelves?
I'm looking for new recruits for my corp by the way, if anyone is looking for a new Eve/Dust corp. |

All I understand from your response is a desire to post a negative spin on every one of my point, I can understand the odd negative but to try and find a flaw in every point I can only draw to the conclusion you are trolling. |

The first point is to emphasise the issues surrounding microtransactions and the integration of a console MMO with a PC MMO, if CCP has evidence as to the success and longevity of their business model I am certain that their industry competitors will be looking to jump into their slip stream.
My point over insider trading is strategic rather than directly related to the aurum/isk split. For example, if you calculate the demand for PI items through exposure to Dust game mechanics, or identify a new role for a Dreadnaught it would be hard to resist exploiting that kind of information.
Recruiting was my attempt to be funny but also legitimately this is a good opportunity to find new corpies who also own a PS3, if you play Eve and Dust you'll want to be a part of a cross platform corporation. |

I direct you to my original post. I see a lot of posts here crying that CCP are holding out or not communicating to their players, yet CCP only announced the beta two weeks ago and I believe they do more than most with their regular dev blogs. |

I hope I this helps, the information is a little out of date but I believe it is still relevant. On occasion PSN beta members are recruited through the Playstation forums, the following criteria has in the past been specified, again this information is a little bit out of date I will try to get more up to date info and feed it back here.
- Aged 18 or over;
- Able to read and give feedback in English as the Beta Trials are in English only;
- A European resident;
- Owner of a PLAYSTATION-«3 or PlayStation-«Portable with a broadband internet connection and a European PLAYSTATION-«Network master account;
- Allready a member of our Official PLAYSTATION-« Forums;
Obviously this is not geared towards Dust beta but more a generic PSN recruitment requirement and I only have access to the EU forums not the US which are separate. |

Thats going to be ******** if I have to have Plus to be considered for this Beta CCP. I really hope it isn't that dumb, or another dumb CCP decision would be a better way to put it. I would have to buy Plus to play your beta? No thanks. I already see this Dust/Eve symbiotic thing being a fail cascade event shortly after it launches.
There is in fact a group of playstation testers outside the playstation plus network, we do get beta's that the playstation plus members don't and usually before them so that the bugs can be ironed out.
Occasionally they recruit through the playstation forums.
Edit: we're the ones with the cool little beta logo's by our names |

Some of these posts sadden me and clearly don't represent the thoughts of all eve players.
The fact that CCP are developing a fps indicates that they have the means to embed the technology into the tranquility server environment, doing so would introduce a number of unknown variables which may detract from the experience of Dust/Eve.
- increased server load and lag - decrease in player base in eve universe - lack of interest towards Dust from new players
CCP are covering all their bases by attracting new players to Eve through Dust. The PS3 is the most powerful 3rd generation console on the market and has seen numbers in excess of the general eve population with some of the successful titles.
I bought a ps2 when they released the network adapter and Socom, and was addicted instantly. The ps3 has been lacking in hard-core titles until last year with the release of Socom 4 and BF3. Dust has a lot of competition if it wishes to succeed.
